Key Responsibilities- Ring up customer purchases accurately and efficiently using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Provide change to customers and handle cash, check, and charge transactions.
- Follow proper procedures for closing out the register at the end of each shift.
- Request assistance from management or colleagues as needed to maintain high customer service levels.
- Offer assistance to customers with large purchases, including carrying items out to their vehicles.
- Replenish inventory from in-store stock and incoming orders.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and professional checkout area.
- Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the store, including restrooms, break rooms, and entryways.
- Replenish register supplies as needed.
- Answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with inventory management, price marking, and merchandising of the checkout area and surrounding departments.
- React to potential shoplifters in accordance with company policy.
- Assist with implementing the Kinney Standard of Presentation (Merchandising).
- Assist with ordering replacement products from suppliers.
- Identify and return outdated or overstocked merchandise to the proper source.
- Pack and prepare items for home or business delivery.
- Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Must be available and on-time for scheduled work shifts.
- Preferred: 0-1 year of experience in a related position.
- Must pass a drug test and undergo initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring.
- Must meet all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position.
The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors, including relevant skills, years of experience, and education. KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. is a multistate organization and abides by all local, state, and federal regulations regarding minimum wage requirements.
