Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Collaboration with residents and family members, as well as other healthcare professionals, is crucial in planning and implementing care. The RN demonstrates competency and practices within their full scope of expertise, utilizing appropriate age-specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting.

Responsibilities
  • Care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, educate residents, and perform various nursing interventions.
  • May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel.
Qualifications

A graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program is preferred. A bachelor's degree in nursing is also preferred. The RN must hold an unencumbered license with the State Board of Nursing and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
