Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contract Manager to join our team at Princeton University. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the university's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies and action plans for design, construction, and related contract agreements.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, analyze proposals, and facilitate competitive bidding events.
  • Provide procurement advice, guidance, and support to project teams, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage and lead a team of contract administrators, providing guidance, training, and coaching to enhance work performance and enable effective contribution to organizational goals.
  • Participate in new system implementations and contribute to process improvements to advance procurement initiatives in the organization.
Requirements
  • Seven to ten years of experience in procurement, contract administration, or a related supply chain management or business position.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience.
  • Superior analytical ability, strong conceptual thinking skills, and extensive experience managing change across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills for interaction with team members and stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience drafting contract language and/or procurement policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, economics, finance, operations, business, or a relevant discipline.
  • CPM or CPSM certification.
  • MBA, MS, or a relevant advanced degree.
  • Experience procuring design, construction, and related services.
  • Experience with eProcurement systems.
