Financial Strategist

The Public Library of Princeton seeks a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join its administrative team. As a key advisor to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to the library's leadership and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage the library's annual operating and capital budgets, including income projections, trend analysis, and staff data.
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with State of New Jersey Purchasing and Procurement laws, as well as other relevant regulations.
- Manage the library's fixed asset inventory and reconcile year-end vendor 1099 reporting.
- Process payroll and related staff withholding reconciliations, and prepare monthly reports/payment submissions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 8 years of experience in financial management, accounting, and reporting functions for mid-size not-for-profit and municipal organizations.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of financial public and/or government accounting, financial controls, reporting standards, and government regulations governing not-for-profit and municipal organizations.
- Ability to analyze, monitor, forecast, and bring a budget to a satisfactory close at year-end.
