Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals for the Service Department
  • Oversee the flow of documents, including final invoices and estimates
  • Review estimates, inspections, letters, scopes, proposals, and invoices for service work
  • Monitor and teach subordinates, ensuring they meet company guidelines and standards
  • Determine required staffing and make hiring decisions, working with HR to ensure compliance with company policies
  • Review employees according to established Tecta policies and procedures
  • Maintain open lines of communication with customers, management, and employees
  • Liaise with other departments as needed to ensure seamless operations
  • Develop and execute a departmental sales plan to drive business growth
  • Ensure customer service needs are met and exceeded
  • Assist in collecting past due accounts receivable for service-related work
  • Attend meetings with owners, property managers, and contractors to discuss new work and inspect completed projects
  • Issue proposals for service-related work and manage service-related projects
  • Report monthly financials to the President
  • Review performance of existing service personnel on a regular basis
  • Ensure field personnel are fully trained to perform their jobs at a high level

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with all types of roofing
  • Ability to sell, estimate, and develop new business
  • Strong computer skills and ability to read blueprints and understand specifications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write reports, scopes, and proposals
  • Ability to professionally manage existing and new accounts and a team of 10+ individuals
  • Solid verbal, written, interpersonal, and listening skills
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and contract documents
  • 3+ years' experience in roofing, construction, or a related field
