Financial Operations Manager

The Accounting Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining all general accounting functions, including operational financial analysis and financial statement preparation. Additionally, this role is responsible for payroll management and ensuring compliance with corporate directional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, encompassing AP, AR, Payroll, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Sales and Use tax reporting, Account Reconciliations, Accruals, expense reporting, census filings, and Inventory Management.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and necessary controls to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley, Corporate Standard Policies & Procedures, and GAAP requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information for reporting to management and Corporate Finance.
- Support the month-end general ledger closing process, reconciliation of accounts, and preparation of monthly and annual management accounts and reports.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Materials Management to support corporate initiatives and develop adequate financial controls.
- Assist management in developing the annual budget.
- Supervise the AR Coordinator and support credit management and invoicing.
Payroll-Related Responsibilities
- Administer all components of the payroll system and process bi-weekly and weekly payrolls timely and accurately using ADP Time and Labor / Workday.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws regarding earnings calculation (garnishments, etc.).
- Work with Corporate and Payroll Captain to ensure 401K compliance and end-of-year reporting, special, or off-cycle payrolls.
- Research and troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and resolve any payroll-related issues.
- Conduct payroll analysis, auditing, and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from a four-year college or university.
- Minimum of five years' related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel, including V-lookup and pivot tables.
- Ability to comprehend additional software as needed to support financial reporting and daily operations (OneStream, Sage Fixed Assets, Power BI, SmartSheets, Adobe Sign, ERP systems, etc.).
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Good decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
