Position Summary
The Field Service Technician is tasked with the upkeep, diagnostics, and repair of an array of electrical and mechanical apparatuses within a production setting. This role necessitates a high level of proficiency across various technical domains, including electrical control systems, PLC diagnostics, 480v three-phase motors, fluid power systems, mechanical assemblies, and production methodologies. The technician will engage in troubleshooting and repairing medium to advanced machine systems while offering technical assistance throughout all operational stages. Required Qualifications/Skills: Essential:
  • Minimum of 5 years in industrial manufacturing environments
  • Proficient in PLC diagnostics, including inputs/outputs and program modifications
  • Familiarity with Factory Talk or comparable HMI software
  • Experience with photo eyes, sensors, limit switches, and solenoids
  • Skilled in repairing and diagnosing conveyor systems (line controls)
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems (bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes)
  • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Competence in high and low voltage systems
  • Ability to utilize a multimeter for diagnosing various electrical problems
  • Capability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and communicate effectively.
Preferred:
  • Experience in PLC programming
  • Ability to pull wiring and bend conduit
  • Welding skills
