Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Wenzel America. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, installing, calibrating, and repairing coordinate measuring machines at customer sites in a professional, safe, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair customers' gaging equipment, primarily at customer sites
  • Provide operator orientation training on the equipment, including use, safety, and basic maintenance
  • Maintain and develop positive customer relationships
  • Provide recommendations to customers regarding the repair or replacement of their machine and its components
  • Submit expense and service reports by the required date and time, according to company policy
  • Provide in-house phone support as needed
  • Support in-office work activities, such as rebuilding machines and assisting with packaging and shipping as needed
Requirements
  • Broad background in various skills, including mechanical, electrical, and computer skills
  • Ability to be highly adaptable and flexible in dealing with different control systems and computer systems used in customer facilities
  • Effective time management with minimal supervision and ability to communicate well in an outside training environment
  • Customer-centric focus, effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to identify, analyze, solve, and prevent problems
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, personal accountability, integrity, and result orientation, creativity, and passion for continuous learning
