Job Title: Field Service Engineer III

At Applied Materials, we are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer III to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer III, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading our cutting-edge customer equipment, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and commission new equipment, ensuring proper setup and configuration.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve technical issues and provide expert guidance on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of job activities, including safety procedures and equipment maintenance records.
  • Train junior engineers on site-related safety procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices for equipment maintenance.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification and relevant work experience.
  • 4-7 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and thermodynamics.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport for international travel.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to support rotational shifts, including nights and weekends, based on customer needs.
  • Travel for training and customer site visits, including international travel.
  • Ability to walk extensively, stand for extended periods, and work in tight spaces.
