JOB SUMMARY:

The candidate must be capable of fulfilling the role of either Systems Engineer or Monitor Engineer as required. During periods without events, the candidate will be expected to work 40 hours per week in the workshop.

The Systems Engineer is tasked with the design of the audio system using software simulations, optimizing the system within that software, ensuring the deployment aligns with the design, and performing final tuning of the system at the venue. This role involves managing and supervising assigned personnel during events, ensuring the installation and operation of the concert sound system and associated equipment adhere to company protocols and safety regulations. The Systems Engineer holds overall responsibility and authority over system operations and the road staff assigned to the event, acting as the primary liaison between the company and the client when serving as Crew Chief.

This intermediate position requires the ability to address technical challenges typically associated with both Level 1 and Level 2 duties. The Monitor Engineer acts as the principal assistant to the Crew Chief within the audio team, focusing primarily on the assembly, operation, and disassembly of the monitor system, which may include mixing consoles, floor wedges, in-ear monitoring systems, and other wireless devices, as well as communication systems and any necessary peripheral equipment.
