Job Title: Guest Service Agent

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Guest Service Agent to join our team at Kingsmill Resort. As a Guest Service Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, registering and greeting guests at check-in, and processing payments and posting charges to guest accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Follow all policy, procedures, and service standards.
  • Register guests, receive and post proper payment, and finalize guest accounts at checkout.
  • Assign guest rooms, issue keys, and ensure guest security at all times.
  • Make, confirm, assist, and cancel reservations, promoting and selling location activities.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of location facilities, locations, room types, hours of operation, and activities to answer questions and provide accurate information to guests.
  • Answer telephones in a timely manner, using proper guidelines and telephone etiquette.
  • Take, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and timely.
  • Document guest problems and complaints using correct forms and procedures, and resolve issues to guest satisfaction.
  • Handle Lost and Found items according to Kingsmill guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of company equipment and keep work space neat and organized.
  • Follow all Front Desk policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Accurately follow cash handling procedures and secure bank at all times.
  • Post charges to guest accounts for services and purchases.
  • Balance receipts and postings for work performed during shift at the end of shift.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent human relation skills, with a strong ability to interact with diverse people.
  • Strong communication and sales skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changes in procedures.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds, stand for up to eight hours, and perform bending, stretching, and reaching throughout a shift.
  • Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license.
