Position Overview

The Advisory Services division at FreeWheel, a Comcast subsidiary, is dedicated to assisting our esteemed publisher and distributor clientele in navigating intricate challenges related to business expansion and operational enhancement.

Role Summary

The Advisory Services Manager, based in New York, plays a pivotal role in this mission by utilizing exceptional relationship management abilities, industry knowledge, and project oversight skills to identify, define, and implement multifaceted engagements that maximize value for FreeWheel's customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex management and technology consulting initiatives with major media organizations, pay-TV providers, and online publishers.
  • Take full ownership of client engagements, including program design, stakeholder coordination, timeline management, and budget oversight.
  • Provide direct support, problem-solving expertise, and guidance to FreeWheel clients, aligning their business needs with suitable technical solutions.
  • Supervise and mentor project consultants, enhancing their performance and ensuring accountability for deliverables.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and technology shaping the future of television, with a focus on online video models and metrics.
  • Formulate and present actionable strategies to leverage FreeWheel's product offerings to meet client objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Product teams to deliver integrated recommendations around our core technology solutions.
  • Establish and maintain 'Trusted Advisor' relationships with clients, overseeing their overall experience and guiding consulting projects to achieve their business goals.
  • Enhance team professionalism through project reviews and operational improvements.
  • Contribute to team growth through training and development initiatives.
  • Drive new business opportunities by defining and pitching project engagements.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in management consulting, media publishing, technology, or media agency roles with client-facing responsibilities.
  • Experience in managing team members is preferred.
  • A strong foundation in technology, particularly in Connected TV (CTV) and video.
  • Exceptional project and program management skills, with a proven track record of leading large client engagements.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.
  • A passion for quickly learning new technologies and translating business requirements into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
