Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Weichert Financial Services on a national basis and originate residential mortgage loans from various channels, including company-provided lead sources, marketing initiatives, and franchise offices.
  • Engage with customers through inbound and outbound call activities, utilizing a solutions-based selling methodology to promote mortgage products and services.
  • Meet sales, revenue, and customer contact service level targets established by the leadership team, including issuing mortgage pre-approvals, pipeline creation, migration, and closed loans objectives.
  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers, supplied through multi-channel lead sources, and provide timely customer engagement and follow-up.
  • Provide superior customer service through effective listening and a solution-based selling approach, positioning Weichert's We do it all Guarantee and All Under One Roof services to every customer at point of contact.
  • Analyze customer needs, review loan product availability, and advise customers on the inherent risks and benefits of loan alternatives to recommend the most suitable product.
  • Perform all steps and functions necessary to acquire, research, analyze, and approve mortgage packages, including property appraisals, credit reports, background checks, and submitting complete and accurate mortgage loan packages for underwriting decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date on market conditions affecting the company's loan products, field customer complaints, and provide problem resolution, updating customer status on a regular basis.
  • Meet and maintain all mortgage loan origination licensing requirements, including continuing education, and promote a team atmosphere with representatives from other Weichert Family of Company partners.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal and state laws, company policies, and investor guidelines, developing and maintaining strong relationships with Weichert Realtors Sales Associates to recommend and sell mortgage products meeting qualified customers' needs.
  • Responsible for meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance objectives, service levels, and KPIs set by management for productivity and quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Individual state loan originator license(s) required for specific states
  • At least three to four years of retail mortgage loan origination experience preferred
  • Experience in navigating CRM systems and data input
  • Prior inside sales or contact center experience a plus
  • Ability to determine interest rate quotes and maximum qualification amounts based on investor guidelines
  • Ability to apply investor guidelines to sales situations and use discretion and judgment to recommend products
  • Familiarity with inside selling environments and relevant service levels
  • Ability to set goals and divide processes into timelines
  • Clear understanding of pipeline management responsibilities
  • Strong organizational skills and disciplines with the ability to work independently
  • Good problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to quickly gain proficiency in the company's proprietary mortgage software products
  • Ability to conduct presentations and hold one-on-one meetings
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with careful decision-making abilities
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions
