Mortgage Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mortgage Advisor to join our team at Weichert Financial Services. As a Mortgage Advisor, you will be responsible for originating residential mortgage loans and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Originate residential mortgage loans through various channels, including company-provided lead sources and marketing initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Weichert Realtors Sales Associates to recommend and sell mortgage products that meet the needs of our clients.
• Provide superior customer service through effective listening and a solution-based selling approach.
• Position Weichert's We do it all Guarantee and All Under One Roof services to every customer at point of contact.
• Prepare daily calendars of pre-planned activities to support customer engagement and administrative work time.
• Analyze customer financial backgrounds and review the availability of all loan products that might fit their needs.
• Advise customers of the inherent risks and benefits of loan alternatives and recommend the most suitable product.
• Perform all steps and functions necessary to acquire, research/analyze, and approve mortgage packages, including property appraisals, credit reports, and background checks.
• Submit complete and accurate mortgage loan packages that provide all the information needed to make an underwriting decision.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in market conditions that affect our loan products.
• Field customer complaints and provide problem resolution.
• Meet and maintain all mortgage loan origination licensing requirements, including continuing education requirements.
• Promote a team atmosphere with representatives from other Weichert Family of Company partners.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Individual state loan originator license(s) required for specific states in which employee engages in any mortgage loan origination activity.
• At least three (3) to four (4) years of retail mortgage loan origination experience preferred.
• Experience in navigating CRM systems and data input.
• Prior Inside seller/Contact center experience a plus.
• Ability to determine appropriate interest rate quotes and maximum qualification amounts based on investor guidelines.
• Ability to apply investor guidelines to specific sales situations and use discretion and judgment to recommend the most appropriate products to customers based on qualifications and needs identified by customer analysis.
• Familiarity with an inside selling environment and relevant service levels.
• Ability to set goals and divide processes into timelines.
• Clear understanding of pipeline management responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills and disciplines with the ability to work independently.
• Good problem-solving skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills, clear and concise when engaging customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products and ability to quickly gain proficiency in the Company's proprietary mortgage software products.
• Ability to conduct presentations and hold one-on-one meetings.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with careful decision-making abilities.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions.
• Knowledge and ability to use typical office equipment (PC, calculator, fax machine, etc.).
