Job Title: Community Life Engagement, Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Community Life Engagement, Direct Support Professional. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to become an integral part of their local communities.

Job Summary:

Our Community Life Engagement service professionals work to empower individuals to become more independent and integrated into their communities. They assist with daily activities, find employment opportunities, provide transportation, and advocate for the rights and services of individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Training and supervising assigned participants to develop their skills and independence
  • Assisting in planning and developing methods and procedures for implementing individual programs
  • Conducting regular assessments to track participants' progress and identifying areas for improvement
  • Providing confidential feedback and advocating for participants' rights and services
  • Transporting participants to designated locations while ensuring their safety and well-being
Requirements:
  • GED or High School Diploma, with a bachelor's degree in human services or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is highly desirable
  • Valid LA Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
