Job Summary:
The Newark Board of Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor Information Technology Help Desk to join our team. As a key member of our Information Services department, you will be responsible for supervising the IT help desk support operation, providing guidance to technical personnel, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical support to end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the IT help desk support operation and provide guidance to technical personnel.
- Resolve complex technical hardware and software problems, and consult with network operations and systems programming staff as needed.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Coordinate and execute the process of maintaining daily logs and equipment/system malfunction reports.
- Provide technical support and assistance to other areas within the organization.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree.
- Four (4) years of experience in an Information Technology operational unit, including at least three (3) years of experience with an IT help desk or operational support unit.
- One (1) year of experience in a lead capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology may be substituted for one (1) year of non-lead experience.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range: $70,970 - $90,019.
- Twelve (12) month employment period.
- Local 32 union affiliation.
