About the Role:

The Business Development Manager - Transformers Services is a key position at Hitachi Energy, responsible for driving the growth of our Transformers Services portfolio. This includes identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with customers, and closing deals to drive orders growth. This is a remote role with up to 85% travel.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted markets, developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Hitachi Energy front-end sales and customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions that add value to their business.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitive landscape, positioning our transformers services effectively in the market.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, regularly reporting on sales performance and business development activities.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop and implement business strategies, living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity.
  • Have a strong understanding of the theory of operation and construction of transformers, current transformers, bushings, etc.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of the transformers service industry and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to travel domestically, with up to 85% travel required.
