Position Overview:

The Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse) plays a pivotal role in supporting the Director in leading the Emergency and Intensive Care Services Departments. This position encompasses responsibilities in leadership, clinical practice, financial management, and human resources. The Clinical Manager is instrumental in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices aligned with the mission of Doctors Hospital and the specific needs of the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.

This role requires a high level of critical thinking, technical proficiency, initiative, integrity, and compassionate nursing care within an interdisciplinary framework. The Clinical Manager aids the Department Director in guiding the development and assessment of nursing staff and ensuring smooth operations within the patient care unit. Additionally, this position contributes to the hospital's mission through support of its philosophy, objectives, educational initiatives, research, and quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

Education: B.A./B.S.

Training: Proficient in delivering safe nursing care across all critical care patient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, medical, surgical, correctional, and geriatric.

Licenses / Certifications: Active California R.N. license, Healthcare Provider BLS, ACLS upon hire, PALS within 6 months of hire.

Experience:

1 – 2 years in a managerial role, with over 5 years of clinical experience.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for effective verbal and written interactions. Fluency in spoken and written English is required. The candidate must be capable of fulfilling the essential functions of the position.

Compensation: $79.73 hourly, with individual wages determined by qualifications and experience.
