Position Summary
The Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse) is responsible for supporting the Director in leading the Emergency and Intensive Care Services Departments, focusing on leadership, clinical excellence, financial management, and human resources. This role involves planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices in alignment with the hospital's mission. The Clinical Manager demonstrates critical thinking, technical skills, initiative, integrity, and compassionate care within an interdisciplinary framework.
The Clinical Manager assists in the development and evaluation of nursing staff and ensures the efficient operation of the patient care unit. This position contributes to the nursing and hospital mission through support of philosophy, objectives, educational initiatives, research, and quality improvement efforts. The Clinical Manager serves as a role model for professional behavior and demonstrates expertise in nursing care delivery and departmental oversight.
Qualifications
Education: B.A./B.S. in Nursing
Training: Proficient in providing safe nursing care for all critical care patient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, medical, surgical, correctional, and geriatric.
Licenses / Certifications: Active California R.N. license, Healthcare Provider BLS, ACLS upon hire, PALS within 6 months of hire.
Experience: 1-2 years in a managerial role and 5+ years in clinical practice.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be fluent in English and capable of fulfilling the essential functions of the position.
Compensation: Pay range is $79.73 hourly, with individual wages determined by qualifications and experience.
