Position Summary
The Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse) is responsible for supporting the Director in leading the Emergency and Intensive Care Services Departments. This role encompasses leadership, clinical, financial, and human resource responsibilities. The Clinical Manager plays a crucial role in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices in alignment with the hospital's mission. This position requires a high level of critical thinking, technical skill, initiative, integrity, and compassionate nursing care within an interdisciplinary framework.
The Clinical Manager will assist the Department Director in guiding the development and assessment of nursing staff while ensuring the smooth operation of the patient care unit. This role contributes to the nursing and hospital mission through support of the organization's philosophy, objectives, educational initiatives, research, and quality improvement efforts. The Clinical Manager serves as a peer role model, demonstrating professional behavior and expertise in nursing care delivery and departmental oversight.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (B.A./B.S.)
Training: Proficient in providing safe nursing care for all critical care patient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, medical, surgical, correctional, and geriatric.
Licenses / Certifications: Active California Registered Nurse license, Healthcare Provider BLS, ACLS upon hire, PALS within six months of hire.
Experience: 1-2 years in a managerial role and over 5 years in clinical practice.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential. Must be capable of fulfilling the essential functions of the position.
Compensation: Pay range is $79.73 per hour, with individual wages determined by qualifications and experience.
