Position Overview
The Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse) plays a pivotal role in supporting the Director in leading the Emergency and Intensive Care Services Departments. This includes responsibilities in leadership, clinical operations, financial management, and human resources. The Clinical Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices in alignment with the mission of Doctors Hospital and the specific needs of the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.
This role requires a high level of critical thinking, technical expertise, initiative, integrity, and compassionate nursing care within an interdisciplinary framework. The Clinical Manager assists the Department Director in guiding the development and assessment of nursing staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the patient care unit. Contributions to the nursing and hospital mission are achieved through support of philosophy and objectives, educational initiatives, research, and quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (B.A./B.S.)
Training: Capable of delivering safe and proficient nursing care across all critical care patient demographics, including neonatal, pediatric, medical, surgical, correctional, and geriatric populations.
Licenses / Certifications: Active California R.N. license, Healthcare Provider BLS, ACLS upon hire, PALS within six months of hire.
Experience:
1-2 years in a managerial role and over 5 years in clinical practice.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for effective verbal and written interactions. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required. The ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position is necessary.
Compensation: $79.73 per hour
Individual compensation is determined based on various factors, including qualifications and experience.
