Job Summary
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a part-time instructor to teach Culinary Arts courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, evaluating student performance, and contributing to the development of curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Teach Culinary Arts courses, including cooking techniques, kitchen management, and food safety
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
- Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field, or equivalent experience
- Two years of experience in Culinary Arts, or equivalent experience
- Ability to teach a variety of Culinary Arts courses
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Working Conditions
Faculty positions may require long periods of standing and walking in a typical classroom setting. Specific conditions may vary by subjects taught.
