Job Summary
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking qualified part-time faculty to join our team in the Social/Behavioral Sciences department. As a part-time instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and contributing to the district's mission of transforming lives through education.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the Social/Behavioral Sciences department, including Ethnic Studies and related fields.
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the district's academic goals and standards.
- Evaluate student learning and provide constructive feedback to promote academic success.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in the Ethnic Studies field or a related field.
- OR a Master's degree in a related field, such as American Studies, Latino Studies, La Raza Studies, or a related field.
- OR the equivalent.
- OR see Interdisciplinary Studies.
Working Conditions
Faculty positions may require long periods of standing and walking in a typical classroom setting. Specific conditions may vary by subjects taught.
