Department Overview

Join our dedicated team in a 9-bed Intensive Care Unit where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a skilled group of Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants. Our unit operates on a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, with immediate support from two Hospitalists, a Pulmonologist, and Telehealth intensivists, managing a diverse array of conditions including respiratory failure, cardio/pulmonary disease, sepsis, and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive patient assessments, administering specialized treatments, monitoring critical conditions, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment where teamwork, critical thinking, and compassionate care are essential.

Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must possess a current Registered Nurse license in the State of North Carolina or from a compact state. Additional requirements include:

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days and maintained
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire and maintained thereafter
