Department Overview
Work in a 9-bed Intensive Care Unit, providing compassionate care alongside a dedicated team of Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants. Our unit operates on a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, supported by Hospitalists, a Pulmonologist, and Telehealth intensivists. You will manage a diverse array of conditions, including respiratory failure, cardio/pulmonary diseases, sepsis, and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive patient assessments, administering specialized treatments, monitoring critical conditions, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This role offers a dynamic environment where teamwork, critical thinking, and compassionate care are essential.

Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must possess a current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or from a compact state. Additional qualifications include:
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days and maintained
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire and maintained thereafter
