Position Overview: Travel Nurse Across America is actively seeking a dedicated travel nurse RN specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for an exciting opportunity.

Job Responsibilities: As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing care to patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessments. Your role will involve:

  • Delivering essential bedside care and stabilizing critical cardiac patients.
  • Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and initiating IVs.
  • Preparing, administering, and documenting prescribed medications while reporting any adverse reactions.
  • Monitoring and adjusting specialized equipment used on patients, interpreting and recording electronic displays.
  • Taking corrective actions when monitoring equipment indicates adverse symptoms.

Physical Requirements: PCU Travel Nurses should be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, as well as bending and lifting. The ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally is necessary.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess ACLS and BLS certifications along with a minimum of 1.5 years of recent acute care experience. Additional certifications may be required prior to starting the assignment.
