About Us:

The Sensor Systems and Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Technology team consists of a diverse group of engineers, scientists, and technicians dedicated to the development of sensor systems and inspection methodologies. Our mission is to conduct and oversee inspections that evaluate the integrity of various structures, ranging from underwater applications to aerospace environments.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inspection operations across multiple large-scale manufacturing projects across different sectors.
  • Evaluate and supervise third-party inspection teams during operations to ensure compliance with required certifications and adherence to established protocols.
  • Create inspection procedures that comply with industry standards for sectors such as petrochemical, aerospace, pressure vessels, and nuclear energy.
  • Contribute to the advancement of innovative inspection techniques and execute both traditional and cutting-edge inspection tasks across various methodologies.
  • Assist in research and development initiatives that align with the core objectives of the Sensor Systems and NDE Technology Section.


Daily Duties:
  • Engage with clients to ascertain NDE needs, draft and/or approve inspection protocols, coordinate and/or conduct inspections, analyze inspection outcomes, and compile formal documentation.
  • Innovate and develop new inspection methods and techniques while gathering relevant data.
  • Collaborate with NDT service providers to carry out inspections and address any challenges related to processes, protocols, and equipment.
  • Participate in essential production meetings, update project teams on progress, and manage scheduling.
  • Maintain required qualifications for certification across multiple methods, ensuring documentation of work experience is up to date.
  • Seek additional certifications and credentials as necessary for project requirements and professional growth.
  • Support the internal ISO9001 quality management system and engage in regular audits.
  • Organize and maintain NDT inspection records systematically.
  • Uphold quality and environmental health and safety (EHS) standards and directives.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates to support project proposals.
  • Provide expertise on advanced technologies in nondestructive instrumentation and inspection methodologies.


Qualifications:
  • An Associate's degree in nondestructive testing or a related field, accompanied by 15-20 years of experience, with ongoing education and certifications.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in nondestructive testing.
  • Familiarity with automated inspection systems is preferred, along with experience in production settings and maintenance programs across various industries, including power generation, pressure vessels, pipelines, aerospace, and maritime.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is essential. Experience in drafting inspection procedures based on codes, standards, and contractual requirements is necessary. Willingness to travel occasionally for project support is required.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats are essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently with minimal supervision is preferred. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
