Key Responsibilities:


The primary role of the Admissions Coordinator Assistant is to support the Admissions Coordinator in managing the facility's inquiries and admissions processes.


Essential Duties Include:

  • Assisting with employee engagement and community outreach initiatives
  • Helping to implement programs that boost staff morale, such as Employee of the Month recognitions, team-building activities, and celebrations
  • Promoting the facility's visibility within the community to establish a positive image regarding long-term healthcare services
  • Coordinating special events, including open houses and community engagement booths
  • Conducting facility tours for families and prospective residents, ensuring that admission information and quality tours are available at all times


Admissions Process Support:

  • Assisting with the admissions process and ensuring compliance with established policies
  • Preparing and verifying admission documentation and forwarding it to the appropriate departments
  • Facilitating the orientation process for new residents and explaining essential information regarding room rates, billing, visitor policies, and care procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records related to admissions and discharges
  • Upholding the confidentiality and rights of all residents
  • Documenting incidents, complaints, or concerns in accordance with facility policies


Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensuring that work areas are organized and that records are securely stored
  • Following emergency procedures and reporting any witnessed abuse or policy violations
  • Participating in regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment


Qualifications:
To be considered for the Admissions Coordinator Assistant position, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • A college degree in liberal arts, nursing, social services, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
  • A solid understanding of best practices in admissions
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
