We are open Monday through Friday, allowing our staff to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Position Overview:
The Animal Care Attendant is tasked with ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy environment for all animals under our care.
1. Upholding cleanliness standards throughout the facility, including kennels, treatment areas, and outdoor spaces.
2. Providing nourishment to hospitalized animals and boarders.
3. Observing and documenting significant details regarding the animals' health, behavior, and habits (such as eating and elimination).
4. Walking the animals multiple times throughout the day.
5. Reporting any unusual medical or behavioral concerns to the veterinary staff.
6. Maintaining cleanliness in treatment, examination, surgical, and laboratory areas on a daily basis.
7. Managing laundry tasks and ensuring the laundry area remains organized.
8. Assisting veterinarians and technicians with animal handling and treatment procedures.
9. Keeping track of kennel supplies, including food and cleaning materials.
Additional responsibilities may include supporting the clinic's operations and enhancing client service.
Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or GED is preferred.
2. Availability for a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
3. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to exercise good judgment in stressful situations.
5. Physical capability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment, including lifting over 50 lbs.
6. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
