The University of Georgia is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Veterinary Assistant at the Pet Health Center. This role is essential in providing comprehensive care for animals under our supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Registered Veterinary Technicians in delivering nursing care and managing patient treatment.
- Perform daily veterinary assistant tasks, including dental procedures, wound care, and administering medications.
- Support the training of veterinary students and new staff in various clinical procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stocked.
- Input laboratory results into the system and manage client records efficiently.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess technical knowledge in veterinary care, which may be acquired through an apprenticeship, a two-year degree, or a professional certification. Experience in a clinical setting handling animals is preferred.
