Key Responsibilities

Establishes vital communication channels within the organization to optimize facility usage and market access, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of market demands. Cultivates and sustains positive relationships with key accounts that provide measurable value. Analyzes local meal markets to maintain competitive pricing against higher protein alternatives. Engages in price discovery and offer management to enhance risk mitigation and pricing strategies. Possesses in-depth knowledge of current operational processes at the facility. Effectively manages inventory and customer relationships throughout commodity cycles. Develops a solid understanding of freight dynamics and competitor activities. Identifies and capitalizes on arbitrage opportunities. Makes prompt decisions in a dynamic market environment while justifying them logically. Gains a thorough understanding of local operational practices. Addresses all accounting-related matters promptly to ensure excellent customer service. Maintains a clear understanding of local, national, and global market trends. Proactively communicates market information through outbound calls. Aligns personal objectives with organizational goals. Engages in continuous personal and professional development within the organization. Fosters positive and collaborative relationships with colleagues across various divisions. Utilizes effective communication methods for coordination within the office and across locations. Represents the company positively in all interactions with clients and colleagues. Qualifications 5 years of experience in Animal Agriculture Sales or Merchandising. A Bachelor's degree in agriculture or business is required. Proven negotiation and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of domestic trade practices. Knowledge of freight dynamics and arbitrage mechanisms. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with end-users, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Proven teamwork capabilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Proficient in computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases. Commitment to corporate ethics and safety standards.
