Job Overview

The Montessori Education Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting students with varying learning needs. This position is responsible for providing educational and behavioral support to students in a dynamic, bilingual environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers to create a learning environment that caters to students with different learning modalities.
  • Implement prescribed behavioral strategies and positive reinforcement techniques to promote student success.
  • Work one-on-one with students to provide academic support and guidance as needed.
  • Attend and participate in professional development sessions and meetings to stay updated on best practices.
  • Support the bilingual goal of the school by modeling first and second language (Spanish) for all students.
  • Collect daily data to track student progress and provide feedback to teachers on student behaviors and performance.
  • Participate in school activities, including special events, field trips, and workshops.
  • Provide administrative support to the special education team and help with recess, lunch, and transitions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or 48 college credit hours or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities and a passion for supporting their growth.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a willingness to work in a bilingual and multicultural public school environment.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
  • ABA or RBT training and experience a plus.
Benefits

LAMB offers a competitive salary range of $33,619 - $55,567, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes medical insurance, retirement plan, life insurance, and other perks.
