The role:

The Facilities Operations Associate is a pivotal role that requires a robust background in project management and commercial real estate, particularly in facility oversight. This position is essential for enhancing operational performance and aligning facility strategies with organizational goals. The successful candidate will spearhead a comprehensive site and workplace management initiative to foster a secure and productive work environment. This role operates on-site for 40 hours weekly and functions as an individual contributor.

What you'll do:

Project Management and Leasing Support
  • Oversee project management for new office developments, decommissioning, and other facility-related initiatives as directed by senior leadership.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, tracking critical tasks and milestones.
  • Assist in lease administration and possess a solid understanding of lease obligations and operational costs.
  • Engage in property and facility management activities.
Site and Workplace Management
  • Independently manage the operations of SoFi's headquarters, implementing an effective workplace management strategy. Responsibilities include visitor support, front desk security management, office supply procurement, and coordinating routine or emergency repairs.
  • Lead Emergency Action Planning efforts, including overseeing the office Floor Warden Program and conducting emergency drills.
  • Manage the office's space and occupancy program, coordinating with corporate real estate on capacity planning, seating arrangements, and space utilization.
  • Collaborate with the People team to monitor headcount and growth forecasts, informing corporate real estate decisions.
  • Oversee vendor management in accordance with SoFi's contracting standards.
  • Administer the site's snack and beverage program, ensuring compliance with SoFi's overall standards.
  • Participate in budget planning and forecasting with the corporate real estate team.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement local engagement initiatives that enhance employee participation and workplace experience.
  • Creatively lead engagement and morale-building events for SoFi's headquarters, aligning with corporate milestones and wellness initiatives.
  • Support cultural diversity and inclusion initiatives in collaboration with employee resource groups.
  • Coordinate community volunteer and philanthropic activities.
  • Assist with site-wide and team-specific initiatives.
  • Draft and distribute regular site communications to promote participation in initiatives.
What you'll need:
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in workplace or facility management.
  • A college degree.
  • Experience in commercial real estate.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for creative problem-solving.
  • A proven track record of supporting colleagues effectively.
  • Experience collaborating with various organizational levels, including management and vendors.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and office administration software.
  • Aptitude for quickly learning new technical tools.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive team culture.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
  • Experience in environments with varied work shifts.
  • Polished communication skills to represent the organization effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is provided below. The final salary offer will be based on individual qualifications, experience, and location.

Salary range: $80,000 - $150,000 annually.
