Cedar House Life Change Center (CHLCC) is a recognized non-profit organization providing a 125-bed CARF Accredited treatment facility. Our commitment to fostering employee growth and promoting from within is paramount.

We are in search of a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to enhance our team and continue delivering exceptional Substance Abuse Treatment.

The compensation for this role is $36.00 per hour.

As a vital member of the Treatment Team, you will collaborate with medical professionals and report directly to the Clinical Director.

Your Responsibilities:

The LVN plays a crucial role in the Treatment Team by contributing nursing expertise to individual treatment plans.
  • Review and approve Health Questionnaires for new clients, ensuring they are uploaded into our EHR system
  • Verify that all withdrawal management clients are registered in the CURES database and that results are documented in our EHR
  • Confirm that all incoming clients meet necessary clearance requirements
  • Assist medical practitioners during physical examinations
  • Evaluate incoming medications at intake and from the pharmacy
  • Ensure timely PPD/TB testing for all clients and maintain accurate records
  • Conduct rounds and provide nursing oversight in Withdrawal Management, documenting findings in client records
  • Educate staff on nursing and medical conditions to minimize medical and psychiatric emergencies
  • Coordinate and deliver MAT services under the guidance of medical practitioners
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by medical practitioners or supervisors
Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate will possess the following credentials and demonstrate key skills:
  • Current nursing license and CPR certification
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in addiction treatment
  • Experience with PPD/TB injections
  • Understanding of alcohol/drug addiction and recovery processes
  • Knowledge of nursing functions related to substance use and co-occurring disorder treatment
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and county regulations, as well as CARF standards relevant to this field
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain productive relationships with colleagues
  • Resourcefulness, creativity, and strong problem-solving capabilities
