Our Safety Compliance Specialist position entails conducting audits, analyzing data, and ensuring the accuracy of information.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in field operations, including OSHA, ATSSA, and local regulations.
  • Address safety, quality, and compliance issues in designated areas.
  • Promptly report incidents and maintain comprehensive safety records.
  • Conduct internal audits and relay findings to the Leadership Team.
  • Evaluate various teams and foster a culture of safety through engagement and demonstration of Core Values.

Training and Development:

  • Assist in site-specific training initiatives and recommend additional training as needed.
  • Support management with training documentation and processes.
  • Provide clear guidance and share best practices with team members.
  • Participate in site meetings and training sessions.

Auditing and Inspections:

  • Conduct inspections to identify and correct unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and review the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program.
  • Perform safety audits, including checks of fall protection equipment and lock-out/tag-out procedures.

Incident Reporting:

  • Effectively communicate incidents, near misses, and job-related concerns.
  • Manage documentation related to employee incidents/injuries and follow up in collaboration with safety professionals.
  • Assist in investigating incidents and injuries to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in construction, preferably with an Electrical background and knowledge of NFPA 70e.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • CPR/AED First Aid certification.
  • BCSP certification (CHST, ASP, or CSP) and OSHA 510 certification.
  • Ability to effectively communicate safety protocols to employees.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA and NFPA 70e regulations.
  • Capacity to cultivate a positive work environment.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).

Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily conducted in an indoor office setting.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with short notice.
  • Must be able to read documents, utilize a computer, and communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Mobility required within office, warehouse, and construction site environments.
  • Occasionally lift items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Some travel may be required.
