Brilar is a leading firm in commercial landscape maintenance and snow management, serving clients nationwide.

The Field Service Mechanic is responsible for conducting maintenance and repair services on the company's fleet, which includes trucks, trailers, tractors, heavy machinery, snowplows, salt spreaders, small engines, and 2-cycle equipment.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies for all company assets.

Perform various maintenance and repair tasks on the fleet, including trucks, trailers, tractors, heavy machinery, snowplows, salt spreaders, small engines, and 2-cycle equipment.

Oversee the outsourcing of repairs that cannot be handled in-house, which involves identifying vendors and maintaining communication throughout the repair process.
Occasionally, mobile repairs may be required in the field.
Complete maintenance and repairs in accordance with industry and quality standards established by the company.
Efficiently execute maintenance and repairs within the timeframes deemed acceptable by the company.
Collaborate with the Branch Manager to secure purchase orders for all necessary acquisitions prior to ordering.
Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy work area.
Report all incidents and injuries to the Branch Manager immediately.
Complete additional tasks as assigned that contribute to the effective operation of our service and repair department.
Always represent the company positively and professionally, including the overall appearance of the shop, parts/supply rooms, and storage areas.
Embrace and engage in ongoing education and continuous improvement to expand knowledge and increase levels of responsibility and contribution to the company.
Requirements

Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Possess a DOT Card or be willing to obtain one.
DOT Inspector Training is preferred.
Consent to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-incident drug testing.
Hold a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Must be insurable by Brilar's insurance provider.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
Have three or more years of experience in a repair facility environment.
Prior experience in the landscape green industry is advantageous.
Be available to work the assigned schedule, which is Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays during the green season (April - October).
Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, snow, wind, and rain.
Be on call 24/7 during the winter season, including weekends and holidays.
During the winter season, flexibility in scheduling is required, with expectations to complete assigned shifts and/or routes, and readiness to work long hours when necessary.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Possess and utilize personal basic mechanic's tools.
Exhibit a positive attitude, reliability, and the qualities of a team player.
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others.
Capable of lifting 50+ lbs., bending, and walking repeatedly for extended periods.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Follow instructions and complete assignments efficiently and thoroughly.
