Role Summary:

The Surgical Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective execution of surgical operations. This position is primarily responsible for assisting surgeons and registered nurses during surgical procedures.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to: Manager of Surgical Services

Employment Classification:

FLSA: Non-exempt


Qualifications:

Educational Background:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Completion of a Program in Surgical Technology is preferred.

Essential Skills:
Requires strong critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to operate with minimal oversight. Must thrive in high-pressure environments and respond appropriately to challenges.

Certifications:
Surgical Tech certification is required within 6 months of employment.
An Associate's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience are necessary if the Surgical Tech certification is not obtained at the time of hire.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
