Job Summary:

As an Account Manager with Lockton, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining strong working relationships with our clients and carriers. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the primary service contact for an assigned book of business, ensuring seamless implementation of new client launches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute service schedules, participate in reporting, and coordinate questions/initiatives with clients and carriers.
  • Conduct surveys and implement new client launches, including carrier involvement, communications campaigns, and employee correspondence.
  • Meet with clients alone or in conjunction with Account Executives or Unit Leaders according to standardized client meeting schedules.
  • Conduct all marketing efforts as assigned by the unit.
  • Review agreements and/or documents such as employee booklets and carrier contracts.
  • Explain new benefit offerings and communication strategies to existing clients.
  • Develop prospective client proposals.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field and/or equivalent experience in the insurance industry.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the insurance industry, specifically in the employee benefits area.
  • Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) or similar software applications.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills, including preparation and execution.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to develop sound relationships with multiple clients.
  • Ability to interact with vendors effectively.
  • Good working knowledge of financial arrangements and products available to clients.
