Job Summary:
The Senior Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for providing highly complex and sensitive administrative support to senior-level department heads within assigned areas. This role may support multiple managers and/or department heads, providing supervision to other clerical and administrative support staff as deemed appropriate. The Specialist coordinates the completion of complex projects, including providing advanced-level departmental administrative support, creating presentations, maintaining calendars, records, minutes, correspondence, and filing and faxing. Additional responsibilities include performing other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or two years of college required. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum five years of secretarial, clerical, or administrative experience required, preferably in a healthcare or academic setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Able to type 50 wpm and operate basic office equipment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work calmly and respond courteously under pressure.
- Valid Driver's License required at time of hire.
