Overview:


Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is in search of a Senior Operations Specialist for Tank Farms to join our team in Aiken, SC, focusing on the Savannah River Site (SRS).


The Senior Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing strategic direction, guidance, and support to various operational and maintenance teams.

These responsibilities typically encompass direct or indirect support for specific facilities or functional areas. The role includes administering and overseeing operational programs.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilizing extensive subject matter expertise, the specialist offers insights, recommendations, and professional support across a range of activities, including audits, assessments, compliance checks, and process enhancements.
  • Reviewing both technical and non-technical documentation to ensure adherence to safety standards, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Implementing programs and initiatives aimed at operational improvement.
  • Conducting inspections and evaluations to promote safe and efficient operations, while proactively identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Performing advanced analyses on equipment and components, leading to actionable conclusions and improvement plans.
  • Serving as a superuser and administrator for various information systems, ensuring data integrity and effective system maintenance.
  • Gathering information related to abnormal events within the facility to support thorough investigations.
  • Coordinating cross-functional activities among construction, operations, and maintenance teams.
  • Managing materials and waste handling processes.
  • Providing technical support for operational activities, including system assessments and equipment maintenance.
  • Interfacing with diverse groups to facilitate various assignments and serving as a subject matter expert on numerous programs and policies.
  • Interpreting and communicating departmental procedures and protocols.
  • Potentially acting in various contingency coordinator roles to support operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


A High School Diploma/GED along with relevant experience in operations, maintenance, or engineering fields is required.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's or Associate's degree.

Compensation:


Minimum Pay: USD $72,900.00/Yr.
