Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler to join our team at Coherent, a global leader in lasers and engineered materials. As an Electronics Assembler, you will play a critical role in the assembly of precision electronic components and sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electronic components and sub-assemblies using hand tools and precision equipment.
  • Determine and follow methods and sequence of operations for wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing.
  • Perform on-line go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
  • Read and follow production drawings and sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
  • Position and align parts in specified relationships to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
Requirements
  • Soldering skills are a must.
  • SMT and lead-free soldering experience is required.
  • Basic computer navigation skills are required.
  • PWA/PCB hand add or rework experience is a plus.
  • Experience handling laser or light-emitting diodes and optics/lenses is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred, and a minimum of 5 years of related experience is required.
Skills
  • Positive, self-motivated, and a quick learner.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proactive, strong team player.
