Job Summary

As a Senior Electrical Engineer Technical Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership over the hardware development, reliability analysis, and testing for our line of iron flow battery products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and guide more junior members of the team
  • Work with the Director of Engineering and project management office to plan the work, set priorities, and manage deliverables within budgets
  • Provide support to assigned staff on technical and administrative issues
  • Maintain an understanding of project schedules, status, and technical issues. Review all designs during the product development process.
  • Lead cross-functional projects
  • Engage with customers to resolve technical questions and RFIs
  • Manage engineering contracts with third parties including PCBA production
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Demonstrated leadership experience of 3+ years over teams of 4-8 engineers
  • Management of budgets and schedules
  • 8+ years of industry experience in product development, with a strong preference for battery systems, energy storage, or renewable energy experience
  • Background in electronics development, fabrication, and assembly processes, and good analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience designing, using, and troubleshooting industrial controls and serial communication protocols
  • Foundational knowledge of embedded systems, high voltage isolation, and power conversion switching circuit designs
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of high voltage (> 400 volts) electrical power system design
