Position Overview:

As an Application Software Engineer at Engelhart CTP (US) LLC, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with business stakeholders to gather insights and define application specifications. Your expertise will be essential in partnering with the Development team to devise effective solutions for complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement innovative features and applications for various operational sectors including Trading, Risk Management, and Back Office functions, utilizing Agile methodologies.
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting of production issues in collaboration with the support team, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
  • Explore and assess new technologies to ensure they align with business objectives and operational needs.
  • Maintain and resolve bugs in existing applications, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Deploy solutions to the production environment and provide Level 3 support for applications as necessary.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, accompanied by six years of experience in object-oriented design and development. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a similar discipline with four years of relevant experience is acceptable.

Essential skills include:

  • Proficiency in designing algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience with database management and querying languages such as SQL.
  • Development of server-side components using the core Java Development Kit.
  • Familiarity with relational databases including Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, and experience in designing and implementing web services.
  • Knowledge of build systems like Ant, Maven, Ivy, or Gradle, and proficiency in using GIT for version control.
  • Experience in Financial Markets and familiarity with RAD or Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of enterprise Java libraries such as JMS or JPA.
  • Knowledge of AWS resources (S3, Lambda, Fargate, EC2, API Gateway, CloudWatch, Step Function, RDS) and AWS Cloud Architecture, including security aspects like IAM and Cognito.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Ability to create automated build and release pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub.
