Role Overview

The Mayor's Office of Talent and Appointments is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to serve as a member of the Community Schools Advisory Committee. As a key member of this committee, you will provide intellectual guidance and diverse perspectives to the research projects of the Office of the State Superintendent of Education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute substantive expertise to the research process related to student learning, school improvement, and urban education policy.
  • Help formulate Partnership policy and provide guidance on research projects.
  • Ensure that the Advisory Committee's work is informed by diverse perspectives and expertise.

Requirements

  • Ability to contribute substantive expertise to the research process.
  • Experience in practice, policy, or research on school improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Eligibility

  • Must be a DC Resident.
  • Must not be employed by the Partnership or a direct employee of a non-government organization that provides funding to the Partnership.
