Job Summary

At Lam Research, we are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our Global Products Engineering group. As a Product Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving product development at the forefront of the semiconductor equipment industry. You will collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to provide real-time problem-solving to customer challenges and enhance our products.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively participate in global platform field escalations, focusing on Lam platforms for Etch, Deposition, and Clean products.
• Acquire and apply engineering theories and problem-solving skills to define problems, investigate, troubleshoot, analyze results, and provide recommendations for technical problem resolution.
• Conduct and design well-defined experiments and tests to develop new methods, hardware, standards, modify current materials, components, software, or resolve complex technical problems. Generate clear and concise reports to justify technical recommendations.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring proper release and hand-off of solutions to field support organizations.
• Articulate plans, including findings, data collected, and progress to Lam's customers on a regular basis.
• Act as a liaison for cross-functional projects across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of semiconductor equipment field product support experience, with Automation and Robotics experience a plus.
• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent, with higher engineering degrees a plus.
• Creative thinking, strong problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to complete projects and learn required skills with minimal guidance.
• Previous experience in individual project management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior product design, Automation, and Robotics experience is beneficial.
• Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
• Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.
