Product Development Engineer

At TE Connectivity, we are seeking a highly skilled R&D/Product Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for conceiving original ideas for new products, introducing them into practice, and ensuring their successful development and qualification.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct feasibility studies, testing, and analysis on new and modified designs to ensure they meet customer requirements and are manufacturable.
- Develop and maintain detailed designs, drawings, and documentation, including Solid Model, 2D/3D production drawings, product specifications, and testing requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine product concepts, ensure design intent, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Participate in customer and supplier communications to ensure effective collaboration and issue resolution.
- Execute product development through stages of concept, design, validation, and industrialization, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering product development, preferably in the connector and cable assembly industry.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD applications, PTC Creo preferred, and Ansys SpaceClaim beneficial.
- Experience in geometric dimensions and tolerances, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability.
- Strong interpersonal communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.
