Product Development Engineer

Join Lam Research as a Product Engineer 4 and contribute to the development of cutting-edge semiconductor equipment.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for driving product development, collaborating with customers and internal teams, and providing real-time problem-solving to customer challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in global platform field escalations, focusing on Lam platforms for Etch, Deposition, and Clean products.
- Apply engineering theories and problem-solving skills to define problems, investigate, troubleshoot, analyze results, and provide recommendations for technical problem resolution.
- Design and conduct well-defined experiments and tests to develop new methods, hardware, standards, or modify current materials, components, software, or resolve complex technical problems.
- Generate clear and concise reports to justify technical recommendations.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring proper release and hand-off of solutions to field support organizations.
- Act as a liaison for cross-functional projects across the organization.
- 5+ years of semiconductor equipment field product support experience, with Automation and Robotics experience a plus.
- BS degree in Engineering or equivalent, with higher engineering degree a plus.
- Creative thinking, strong problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to complete projects and learn required skills with minimal guidance.
- Previous experience in individual project management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Prior product design, Automation, and Robotics experience is beneficial.
- Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
- Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.
