Job Title: Product Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team at Lam Research. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for driving product development at the forefront of the semiconductor equipment industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in global platform field escalations, emphasizing in Lam platforms on Etch, Deposition and Clean products.
  • Acquire and apply engineering theories and problem-solving skills in defining problem, investigation, troubleshooting, analyzing results and providing recommendations to resolution of technical problems.
  • Conduct and design well-defined experiments and tests pertaining to the development of new methods, hardware, standards, modification of current material, components, software or resolution of complex technical problems.
  • Generate clear and concise reports to justify the technical recommendations.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, assuring proper release and hand-off of solutions to field support organizations.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years semiconductor equipment field product support experience, Automation and Robotics experience a plus.
  • BS degree in Engineering or equivalent, higher engineering degree a plus.
  • Creative thinking, strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to complete projects and learn the required skills with minimal guidance.
  • Previous experience in individual project management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior product design, Automation and Robotics experience is beneficial.
  • Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
  • Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.
