Position Summary:

The Virtual Sales Consultant is tasked with advocating for the Company's offerings and services by cultivating relationships with both new and existing clients through various virtual platforms, including video conferencing, phone calls, emails, and other electronic communication methods. This role employs consultative selling strategies to sustain and enhance sales of amenities, textiles, room accessories, paper products, janitorial supplies, cleaning items, and FF&E products to hotels, motels, management groups, and additional markets within an assigned area. The primary objective of the Virtual Sales Consultant is to support the success of the Company's clientele while meeting the sales and profit targets set by the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify and maintain new sales opportunities within both prospective and existing accounts. Conduct virtual sales calls and presentations to foster and sustain strong customer relationships, thereby increasing sales volume and market penetration.
  • Employ consultative selling techniques, product expertise, ROI analysis, and sales training resources to effectively target new prospects and growth opportunities.
  • Build and nurture customer relationships through video conferencing, phone, email, or other electronic means.
  • Continuously oversee assigned accounts and take necessary corrective actions to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Regularly engage with assigned accounts to discuss new products and services, company updates, pricing changes, and emerging opportunities.
  • Promptly inform management if an existing account faces potential service discontinuation or unresolved issues.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to ensure timely payment of invoices by customers.
  • Interact with various internal departments to relay critical information necessary for customer service, including notifying Merchandising of product movement changes and new business developments.
  • Assist in establishing new accounts, including customer applications, order guides, pricing, and schedules.
  • Accurately forecast sales results and trends for specific territories or groups of accounts.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business preferred.

Minimum Experience:

  • 1 - 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in the hospitality or distributed supplies sector is preferred.
  • Background in relationship sales and managing customer opportunities is advantageous.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) and professional interaction capabilities are essential.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives effectively.
  • Proficient in negotiation and closing techniques.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and active listening skills to interpret customer needs.
  • Dependable with a professional demeanor and the ability to build trust with clients.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with CRM systems.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to operate a computer and telephone.
  • This position primarily operates from a remote home-based office.
  • Must have sufficient internet capabilities for effective communication.
  • Limited travel may be necessary for training sessions and company events.
