Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Acoustics Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves significant contributions to the design and development of advanced acoustic systems for submarine applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and leadership capabilities, contributing to the success of our engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the selection, development, and evaluation of team members to ensure optimal function and efficiency.
  • Engage in technical activities that influence system-level design, detailed engineering, and the manufacturing of sophisticated electronic systems.
  • Manage ongoing project operations and act as a liaison among project management, planning, and the engineering team.
  • Monitor project status, budgets, and schedules while preparing comprehensive status reports.
  • Identify project challenges and devise effective solutions to meet client satisfaction objectives.
  • Lead the development of strategic initiatives or smaller projects, applying engineering expertise to achieve technical milestones.
  • Interpret and understand the technical and organizational aspects of assigned tasks, relating them to the broader project requirements.
  • Ensure the timely completion of engineering tasks or projects within established budgetary and scheduling parameters.
  • Proactively identify technical and organizational risks, incorporating them into risk management strategies.
  • Contribute to the engineering development of program and teaming strategies relevant to assigned tasks.
  • Promote continuous improvement within the team and associated processes.

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of experienced technical professionals.
  • Familiarity with current technology trends and experience in Research & Development (R&D).
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of leading design teams on complex projects.

  • Drive for innovation in design architectures, component selection, and electronic design.
  • Experience in managing technical projects and programs effectively.
  • Ability to communicate technical and programmatic information to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Experience in analyzing complex acoustic and vibration applications, particularly in submarine environments.
